Economy coal offers excellent value for money and is ideal for most purposes. 5 Star coal burns slower, gives out more heat and produces less ash. All solid fuels are available in 25kg bags. To keep delivery costs as low as possible there is a minimum delivery of 5 bags to domestic customers and a 20 bag minimum to wholesale clients.
Strangford Fuels’ purpose-built premises in Downpatrick include modern fuel storage tanks. These allow Strangford Fuels to buy large volumes of heating oil and red diesel direct from the oil terminals in Belfast. Bulk buying reduces the purchase price and all fuel cost savings are passed on to Strangford Fuels customers. Low cost red diesel is delivered direct to farms and fishing boats of Northern Ireland.
More recently, Strangford Fuels have branched out with the opening of a new Kitchen Cooker Showroom at their home on Ballyduggan Road, Downpatrick, County Down. There are great ranges of electric and gas cookers, hobs and ovens from some of the leading manufacturers including Hotpoint, Belling, Range Master and Electrolux.
